Last week, an exhibition of photos by Swiss artist, Peter Püntener, opened in the SACI Gallery. Peter spoke to a large audience about his unique experience capturing the photos for If Walls Could Talk: Photos from the Abu Salim Prison, Tripoli. His austere images of interiors inside the Abu Salim Prison are void of humans (except for “The Witness”), but show traces of human presence where many suffered to their deaths. Here are some images from the opening reception.
