Free Art Film Festival Mondays in July – Piazza SS. Annunziata, Florence

Lo Schermo dell’Arte Film Festival – 5th Edition

July 7, 14, 21, 28 – 2014
Piazza SS. Annunziata, Florence – ITALY

Midsummer Nights returns this summer with free art films outside in Piazza SS. Annunziata in Florence. This year the festival is dedicated to artists outside the global system of contemporary art, the so-called “outsiders”. Often characterized by obsessive elements, but also extremely poetic, these artists are almost always discovered by accident, sometimes only after their death. In a world where speculation and economic interests sometimes define the artistic canons of reference, the profound urgency of making art is authentically captured in the work of these artists.
