Angelo Pontecorboli is an artist, architect, and graphic designer. Born in Santiago, Chile in 1949, he resides in Florence and works as a publisher, editor and writer of specialized texts for numerous publications in the art field, with particular interest in the problems of the connection between nature, space and the visual arts.
Since 1975 he has undertaken professional activities relating to the visual arts, communication, advertising, graphic design, book design, package design, trade show installation and design, and publishing. He has worked as art director with major private companies and public institutions. He is also an accomplished painter and a photographer of fine art and furniture. Pontecorboli has exhibited in the SACI Gallery.
Since 1984 he runs his own publishing company, Angelo Pontecorboli Editore, which specializes in high quality books and magazines primarily about architecture, art, anthropology and the social sciences. The publishing house has released approximately 500 publications, including numerous magazines, among the most important of which are: Architettura e Arte, Human Evolution, International Journal of Anthropology, Global Bioethics, Quasar, and Report Casa e Natura.
For 10 days, the Regione Toscana presents an exhibition and conference dedicated to the book, with collages and editorial graphics made by the artist–architect-editor in the intense forty years he has lived in Florence. Pontecorboli celebrates the book, an essential vector of his passion, of ideas, and a symbol of civilization in which cultural messages are expressed and communicated.

Guest Speakers include: Charles Cresti, Founder and Director Emeritus of SACI Jules Maidoff, Angelo Pontecorboli, and Fausto Sbaffoni, with the attendance of Mons. Luis Cuña Ramos
The exhibition on the first floor of the Palazzo Panciatichi can be visited by showing a photo-ID, Monday – Friday during the hours of 2-6:30pm.
On Wednesday, November 19 from 3:30pm, two art monographs published by Angelo Pontecorboli Editore about artist Amalie Rothschild and her daughter, filmmaker and photographer Amalie R. Rothschild will be presented, including a presentation in English by Historian and SACI President Emeritus, Mary Beckinsale.
