SACI MFA in Photography students experience Milan

SACI MFA in Photography students in Milan

Last term (Fall 2014) while it was still warm and sunny, SACI’s MFA in Photography students and instructors Romeo Di Loreto and Jacopo Santini went on a field trip to Milan. The prime reason for this fantastic day trip was to see the exhibit, Genesis, of photographs by Brazilian social documentary photographer and photojournalist Sebastião Salgado at Milan’s Palazzo della Ragione.

The outing also provided an opportunity for the new MFA in Photography candidates to go out into an unfamiliar metroplis, holding and experimenting with different and new types of cameras in their hands.

They also visited the famous Corso Como in Milan’s artist and fashion district. Here they were able to glance through some of the most important photography and design books and resources. In the same neighborhood, they visited the Carla Sozzani Gallery, noted for its refined and often very important photographic exhibitions.
