Artissima Contemporary Art Fair in Turin, Italy: November 6-8, 2015

Artissima Contemporary Art Fair

November 6-8, 2015 – Torino (Turin), Italy

This weekend, the SACI MFA in Studio Art students are heading North to Torino to visit the Artissima contemporary art fair.

Artissima is one of Italy’s most important contemporary art fairs. Since its establishment in 1994, it has combined the presence of an international market with a focus on experimentation and research.

Nearly two hundred galleries from around the world participate every year. In addition to the fair, Artissima is also composed of three art sections, headed by a board of international curators and museum directors, devoted to emerging artists, performances and rediscovering the great pioneers of contemporary art.

Artissima will be held in Torino from November 6-8 at the Oval, a glass pavilion built for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in the industrial archaeology complex of the Lingotto.

The fair is curated by Artissima Srl, a company connected with the Fondazione Torino Musei.

Artissima is open to the public from 6 to 8 November 2015, from 12 to 8 pm.

The preview and vernissage will be held on 5 November (invitation only).
