My year in the Post-Bac program at SACI in 2006-2007 was an extremely important moment in my growth as an artist.  Not only did I learn what it meant to fully engage in my art practice, but it was also an opportunity to deepen my relationship with Florence in the company of great artists and educators.  I later worked as a teaching assistant at SACI in the Post-Bac program for several years which allowed me to maintain a relationship with the faculty who have been a great support for me in the arts community here.

Anna Rose (b. 1982, Massachusetts, USA) has lived Florence since 2004.  She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute.  Her work spans video, installation, costume, photography with a sensibility towards the relationship between body and environment, entering into conversation with historical, psychological, and cultural mythologies of place.  She is also the co-founder (with jewelry artist Sara Amrhein) of Creative People in Florence, an international network of artists, designers, artisans, and creative thinkers activating the contemporary arts in Florence.
