From October 1, 2016 to February 5, 2017 the Fondazione Palazzo Blu will host Dalí, The Classical Dream, organized in collaboration with the Fundación Gala-Salvador Dalí and MondoMostre. The exhibition, curated by Montse Aguer i Teixidor, the director of the Centre Estudis Dalinians at the Fundación Gala-Salvador Dalí, presents the Spanish master’s grand oeuvre, through a selection of major works that shows the extent to which Dalí was inspired by the tradition of the great masters from the time of Raphael and Michelangelo. More than 150 works have been loaned by the Museo Fundación Gala-Salvador Dalí di Figueres, the Dali Museum of St. Petersburg in Florida (the two most important institutions for work by Dali), and the Vatican Museums for the exhibition. On display, in the magnificent setting of Palazzo Blu in Pisa, 150 works including paintings, watercolors and woodblocks will testify the omnipresence of the classical heritage within Dali’s artistic production.

The visitor will experience a poetic and memorable dialogue with the original, brilliant and eccentric artist, Salvador Dalì, who loves the great Italian Masters, cites Raphael, tells Cellini, illustrates Dante and paints Michelangelo.

The ticket office closes one hour before closing

The ticket gives access to the permanent collections of Pisa Foundation at Palazzo Blu.
