Artist in Residence (AIR) at Headlands Center for the Arts

Sausalito, California

The Artist in Residence (AIR) program awards fully sponsored residencies to approximately 45 local, national, and international artists each year. Residencies of four to ten weeks include studio space, chef-prepared meals, comfortable housing, and travel and living stipends. AIRs become part of a dynamic community of artists participating in Headlands’ other programs, allowing for exchange and collaborative relationships to develop within the artist community on campus. Artists selected for this program are at all stages in their careers and work in all media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, new media, installation, fiction and nonfiction writing, poetry, dance, music, interdisciplinary, social practice, and architecture.

Meliggoi Residency Program

Meliggoi, Greece

The MELIGGOI RESIDENCY PROGRAM offers the opportunity to one emerging photographer to spend 20 days in July 2017 in Meliggoi, Greece. The selected artist will create a new body of work in response to the cultural context of Meliggoi village and Dodoni province. He/she will also display this work in Meliggoi Gallery before the end of the residency. There is NO ENTRY FEE for the application process. The artist will be granted 500 €, provided by the Meliggoi Association.

The Camargo Foundation

Cassis, France


The Goethe-Institut and the Camargo Foundation invite artists from Germany and the Mediterranean region, in groups of no more than four, to submit applications for a residency. At least one group member must be an artist residing in Germany. An overall one-time stipend of 2,500 EUR will be granted to the selected project to cover expenditures associated with the residency (including travel, food and any other expenses that the team might have).

Pytheas Research Institute and Calanques National Park

The Pytheas Research Institute, the Calanques National Park, and the Camargo Foundation invite artists to submit applications for an art & science residency, in order to think, create and work on the human/nature relationship. Accompanied by researchers, officers and users of the park, selected artists will be invited to re-invent links to the nature for inhabitants of a metropole in the perfect context of the Calanques National Park. An overall one-time stipend of 2 000 EUR will be granted to each selected project to cover expenditure associated with the residency (including food and daily expenses).
