RYAN WARD “Regular Everyday-Sized Monuments” in the SACI Gallery through June 23, 2017

RYAN WARD: Regular Everyday-Sized Monuments

May 22 – June 23, 2017

SACI Gallery – Florence, Italy

Through June 23, you can still catch Regular Everyday-Sized Monuments, an exhibition of mixed-media paintings by SACI Alum (2004) and Marywood University faculty member, Ryan Ward.

Ward’s work explores the malleability of history. He reimagines past events through painting with collage and large scale installation. Rather than aim for resolution, these reconfigurations pose questions about historical presentation itself. He spoke about his work and how being in Florence has affected his process and subject materials. Ward holds an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, a BFA from Marywood University.
